Welcome Message
The 5th. International Conference on Smart Grid and Smart Cities (ICSGSC 2021) and 2nd. International Conference on Advanced Electrical and Energy Systems (AEES 2021) will be held in Tokyo, Japan, in June 2021. These conferences will address diverse topics related to recent trends and progress made in the field of smart grid, smart cities, and green and other advanced energy systems.
For the past few years, smart grids have been one of the main topics in research and development at the academic, industry and business level. The smart grid is envisaged to be the next generation electric grid for Smart Cities. It enables the smart integration of conventional power generation, renewable generation, distributed generation, energy storage, transmission, distribution and demand management. The benefits of smart grid include the enhanced reliability and resilience, higher intelligence and optimized control, decentralized operation, higher operational efficiency, more efficient demand management, and better power quality. However, all these prospective transformations also bring with them numerous challenges and opportunities.
Concerns relating to global warming, caused by green house gas (GHG) emissions from various sources, have raised general awareness among the governments and the public of the need to produce energy, in particular energy in the electrical form, from renewable energy sources that do not produce GHGs. Various aspects of advanced energy sources of the future will be the focus of AEES 2021.
We hope the conferences and their Proceedings will offer the attendees and the readers a good opportunity to explore the state-of-the art developments and future directions of research on these topics.
Authors are invited to submit their contributions that will be reviewed by a committee of prominent individuals who have made significant contributions in the areas of the conferences. In addition, prospective participants are welcome to attend and partake of the advantage offered by having the chance to intermingle with the authors in person.
On behalf of Conference Committees
