Special Session 9: Condition Monitoring Technology for New Power System and Intelligent electrical equipment
“面向新型电力系统与智能电气设备的状态监测技术”

With the development of smart grid, higher requirements are put forward for the condition monitoring technology of power system and electrical equipment. At present, some conventional monitoring methods on the operation status of power system and electrical equipment have certain limitations, for example, the detection method for deformation fault of transformer winding includes frequency response and short circuit reactance method, and detection method for electrical contact fault of the high voltage switch includes loop resistance test, these methods have the limitations of offline detection, and cannot identify latent faults. The fault early warning technology of the power system does not fully take into account the impact of weather disasters, etc. This seminar focuses on discussing the research progress of condition monitoring technology for new power system and intelligent electrical equipment. The contents include, but are not limited to, the following topics: theoretical models, digital twins, experimental testing, spectrum identification, condition monitoring, intelligent perception, and diagnosis methods for new power system and intelligent electrical equipment.  

随着智能电网的发展,对电力系统和电气设备的状态监测技术提出了更高的要求。目前,一些针对电力系统和电气设备运行状态的常规监测方法存在一定的局限性,例如,变压器绕组变形故障的检测方法包括频率响应和短路电抗法,高压开关电气接触故障的检测方法包括回路电阻测试,这些方法属于离线诊断,无法识别潜伏性故障。而电力系统的故障预警技术也并未充分考虑到天气灾害的影响等。本次研讨会重点讨论了新型电力系统和智能电气设备状态监测技术的研究进展。内容包括但不限于以下主题:面向新型电力系统和智能电气设备的理论建模、数字孪生、实验测试、图谱识别、状态监测、智能感知以及诊断方法。  


Chair: Assoc. Prof. Chen Cao, Shenyang University of Technology, China

Associate Professor, doctoral supervisor, leading talents of Shenyang, leader of National Natural Science Foundation Project. He has presided over 4 provincial and ministerial science and technology projects. As IEEE PES Power Switching Technical Committee (China) arc basic theory technical sub-committee secretary, China Electrotechnical Society industrial power grid energy saving and power quality special committee member, China Electrotechnical Society electrical testing special committee member, China Mechanical and Electrical products Circulation Association Standard Committee expert member. He has published more than 60 papers. He has authored 1 monograph. 16 authorized invention patents and 14 authorized utility model patents. He won 1 first prize of Liaoning Province Science and Technology Progress, 1 second prize of Liaoning Province Science and Technology Progress, 2 first prizes of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology, 1 first prizes of State Grid Corporation Science and Technology Progress, 1 first prize of China Electric Equipment Group Science and Technology Progress, and won the Liaoning Province Excellent graduate instructor team. He has presided over 16 projects. As Guest Editor for special issue of Energies, as journal reviewers of Energies, IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, IEEE ACCESS, Results in Engineering, AIP, High Voltage Technology, Global Energy Interconnection, Power supply, Journal of Kunming University of Science and Technology.  

Co-chair: Prof. Liang Wang, Shenyang Institute of Engineering, China

Wang Liang, member of the Communist Party of China, currently serves as the Associate Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Shenyang Institute of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Power System and Automation from Shenyang University of Technology and is an Associate Professor.In 2017, he was recognized as one of the Liaoning Province's "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents." In 2018, he was awarded the title of High-Level Talent in Shenyang. In 2019, he received the "Outstanding Individual in Science and Technology" honor from Shenyang Institute of Engineering, and in 2024, he was honored as an "Outstanding Teacher" by the same institution.He is also a member of the Science and Technology Expert Committee of Guodian Zheneng Ningdong Power Generation Co., Ltd. He has led two projects funded by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology and three projects supported by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education. He has published over 10 papers in SCI and Chinese core journals and holds five authorized patents. His teaching responsibilities include courses such as Power System Planning and Fundamentals of Power Engineering.  

Co-chair: Dr. Haoran Chen, Shenyang Agricultural University, China

Engaged in research related to fault detection and equipment condition assessment of new distribution networks. His research encompasses areas such as power system equipment, protection, transient stability characteristics analysis, and fault detection, with extensive involvement in artificial intelligence algorithms. He has presided over 1 project funded by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology and led 5 horizontal projects related to the energy and electricity industry, while participating as a core team member in more than 10 projects relevant to the electricity sector. He has published over 20 papers, including 5 papers indexed by SCI as the first author or corresponding author, and holds 3 authorized patents as well as 1 patent in Japan. He serves as a review expert for the journal “Power Supply” and is a member of the special working group of the Distributed Generation and Smart Distribution Committee of the China Electrotechnical Society. He has received the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress from the China Machinery Industry, as well as the Second Prize in the Liaoning Division of the 2nd Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 3rd National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
